History and Heritage of Irish Textiles
We hope to compile a section on our Textile History, with articles, interviews, links and pictures.
It is a vast area, and we cannot do it without your help. If you have any information,
links, books, etc, that you would like to share with us, please post them here. We are looking for input from acedemics, practicioners, re-enactment specialists, and even stories about your great, great granny.

Too Big for one Blog??
This is a huge project in itself, the more I look into it, the bigger it gets. I dont know if I can fit everything, the books, the people, the links, the projects, etc into a few posts. So, I suggest we set up a completely new blog just for this subject and connect it to the Woolly Way. I've already chatted to some great people, and got some material and I'd like to share it ALL!
I've come across a woman in Wales, who has already started a Map of Textile Museums of the World. I've been in touch with her and we're going to link up...We'll map the whole woolly world!!

New Blog
So, we've started up a new blog just for the Heritage Section. Why not, its free!! We've called it Scéilín, which is Irish for a story or yarn. so its the story if yarn in Ireland! We'll link it properly when we have some info on it, at the moment its a blank canvas.
